Child Care in Asheboro & Lexington
Welcome to Building Blocks Christian Academy, where we provide warm, faith‑centered care and learning for children in Asheboro and Lexington. We're committed to helping young learners flourish spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically—all in a safe, nurturing environment that families can trust.

Daily Expectations
Below are a few of our expectations and procedures. You learn more by reading our Operational Policies.
Outdoor Play & Learning & Physical Activity Policy
Here at Building Blocks Christian Academy we encourage active physical play for 90 minutes or more for toddler age children and we provide 120 minutes or more for preschool age children.
We play dirty. During play children often enjoy getting dirty from things like mud and puddles.
Physical activity will be adult led for 60 minutes or more per day. Outside of nap and meal times toddlers to preschool children are expected to sit less than 15 minutes per day. Physical activity either indoor or outdoor will NEVER be withheld for misbehavior.
Screen Time
At Building Blocks, there is only one television and it is located in the school age room only. All screen time will be monitored by the teachers. School age children will only be allowed 30 minutes per day for screen time. Screen time is not allowed for children 2 years and under. For children 3 years and older they will be allowed to watch short videos that are educationally related once per month. Classroom centers are open when screen time is offered, for those children choosing to take part in an alternate activity.
Parent Participation
Parents are always welcome!!! We encourage that parents be involved in their child/ren’s classroom. There are many things that we would love for you to be a part of. Some of those things are coming by to have lunch with your child or volunteering in the classroom sometime by reading a story or helping out with an activity. We encourage you to come see how your child is learning in their classroom. Nursing mothers are always welcome to come and nurse their babies.
Monthly newsletters will be sent home each month to let you know what is going on in the classroom.
